Borderlands 3 Redux Mod hits 20,000 downloads at end of development cycle

Mod coordinator @EpicNNG has revealed that the Borderlands 3 Redux Mod has now reached 20,000 manual downloads. That means around 20,000 people have downloaded the game, including 3,000 in the last month alone.

Earlier this year there was a surge in downloads following the Legacy update for the Borderlands 3 Redux Mod. At the time, the mod had reached 15,000 downloads in just over a year. This means that at least 5,000 new downloads have taken place in the past month, showing an increase in interest as the next Borderlands game, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, approaches.

@EpicNNG added in their Twitter post that the Borderlands 3 Redux Mod development cycle is coming to an end. This news is undoubtedly bittersweet for him, as the project has been a lot of fun to work on, and for him to be so successful as he seeks to move away from it, it must be difficult.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be released on all major platforms on March 25. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is heavily influenced by tabletop RPGs, while the game still focuses on guns and offers plenty of options thanks to their randomized nature. As such, spells and melee weapons are also essential to any player’s arsenal, altering the thought process that goes into all loadouts with the title.
