Hamish and Andy top podcast charts, Life Uncut loses major downloads

LiSTNR/SCA’s Hamish & Andy continued to hold the top spot in the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker for July, as it has for every month this year except January and February when it did not post. no episode.

The show had 942,784 monthly listeners over 4 new episodes, ahead of Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime, also a mainstay of the first two, which had 809,029 monthly listeners over five new episodes.

ARN’s Kyle & Jackie O fell to fifth with 342,071 listeners, while New Corp’s The Teacher’s Trial climbed three places to third, with a total of 462,057 monthly listeners across six new episodes.

Schwartz Media’s 7am moved up three places to fourth, with 433,434 monthly listeners on 22 new episodes.


Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne saw a significant drop – eight places to number 13, ending on 232,614 monthly listeners on two new episodes.

That’s a lot with Abbie Chatfield moved up nine places to tenth, finishing with 241,327 listeners across 8 new episodes.

A total of 16 of the Top 100 podcasts were listed under the True Crime genre, with another 24 listed as news podcasts.

Total podcast downloads fell by 400,000 in July compared to June.

ARN/iHeartMedia was again the top publisher with 3,344,986 monthly listeners and 17,737,443 monthly downloads, followed by LiSTNR/SCA which came second with 2,936,367 listeners and 9,755,188 downloads.
