LA Guerrillas signs Spart as replacement for 2021

the The Guerrilla have added to their 2021 roster from Tuesday, signing Kris “Spart” Cervantez as a replacement. Spart has been tearing up the CDL Challengers scene for over a year after being freed from the guerrillas after the 2020 season. Spart played with LA for most of the 2020 season, where he bounced back between the starting lineup and the Challengers. . He now has another shot at LA, although he’s not currently on the starting list.

“I just want to thank @Bevils and the rest of the LAG staff for bringing me home,” Spart tweeted. “Extremely grateful.”

Spart joins LA Guerrillas for a second round

Spart spent the entire Black Ops Cold War season competing in the Challengers. He started the year on the NYSL Academy team, but ended up teaming up with other amateurs to win the 2021 CDL Challengers Championship. Spart was widely regarded as one of the best Challenger players of the Cold War.

However, when rostermania began for the 2022 season, Spart apparently didn’t get any calls to be a starter. This led to him forming a team of Challengers with his roster of Cold War champions, including Byron “Vera” Prolute and Mohak “MoahK” Kumar. Florida Mutineers replacement Christian “Yeez” Faircloth is also currently teaming up with Spart on their “We Are Trying Now” Challengers roster. The team recently won first place in the second Challengers Cup.

Spart’s path to being promoted to the LA Guerrillas is tough. LA has already signed four high profile free agents for the 2022 season. The roster is headed by Cuyler “Huke” Garland and Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat. In order for Spart to become a starter, it is likely that LAG would have to start to malfunction with the current roster.

For now, Spart can continue to compete in the Challengers with his team. However, he would be forced to leave the team if LAG decides to promote him to a starting position.

The Call of Duty League 2022 season unofficially begins on January 21 with Kickoff Weekend.
