Nintendo Downloads – September 22, 2022 – News

Note to Idea Factory International and Aksys: NEVER DO MORE.

Things we missed last week: Festivus (aka Nintendo Direct) was declared, with three shadowdrops (Easy Come, Easy Golf/Various Daylife/Radiant Silvergun) among the number. For still unclear reasons, the last one was immediately removed from the eShop in North America…hopefully just a ranking issue that can be fixed quickly, especially since it’s still in Europe and the UK. Japan.

We’re starting to enter the big retail season, with six games (we don’t yet have prices for Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival outside of Japan, but that’s due too), and the most important d ‘among them being Square Enix’s The DioField Chronicle – the third of twelve games they’ll be releasing on Switch between last week and the end of February. However, I must express my displeasure with Aksys Games and Idea Factory apparently deciding to kick me out of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and the Turtles collection with three novels to read 48 hours apart. From the same developer, no less. Luckily, I’ll have both Amnesia games ready to launch tomorrow pending day one patches so I can jump right into Piofiore 1926 as soon as the code is activated.

A big week also for the download space, with in mind the imminent release of Return to Monkey Island. Unfortunately, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably missed horse armor: luckily, it has no practical effect. Shovel Knight: Dig is finally blowing onto the scene, the puzzle game Moncage, the RPG Jack Move, the adventure title Beacon Pines, the long-awaited RPG No Place for Bravery…all of which interest me. Finally, it’s nice to see that the “sexy puzzle game” genre is finally extending to hand serve – even if it’s members of the Japanese cross-player community.
