Priyanka Chopra gives insight into her restaurant’s behind-the-scenes culinary adventures

Priyanka Chopra has been on a roll lately, juggling several projects. She recently interviewed US Vice President Kamala Harris and has been on constant motherly duty with her daughter Malti Marie, whom she shares with husband Nick Jonas.

But, there is another business that requires his attention; it’s his Indian restaurant “SONA” in New York, which aims to reinvent “the wonders of Indian cuisine in a space that evokes a bygone era of a boisterous yet elegant India, all in the heart of New York.”

The actor recently shared a reel of culinary magic behind the scenes at his restaurant, complete with mouth-watering delights. She was seen devouring “burrata butter chicken pizza”, “avocado bhel” and “Amritsari crispy fried fish”. Priyanka talked about the “innovative combinations” her chefs come up with. “You are bombs.”

Prior to SONA’s opening, Chopra shared a heartfelt Instagram post about what it means to her. “SONA is the epitome of timeless India and the flavors I grew up with,” she said. She also explained how the chef created the “most delicious and innovative menu that takes you on a gastronomic journey through my incredible country”.

On September 27 this year, Bill and Hillary Clinton were spotted at the restaurant offering photos to fans, according to page 6.

More recently, Priyanka also launched SONA Home, a line of homewares described as “a sophisticated global collection of fine china, plush linens and gleaming accessories”. Just like the restaurant, she started this business with her longtime friend Maneesh K. Goyal.
