Will Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 5 Happen?

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for the series finale The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Here’s everything we know about The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 5 and the future of the series following the release of Season 4. The final season of the Archie Comics-based horror series was a game-changer for the latest iteration of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. After the events of season 3, in which Sabrina caused a time travel paradox, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 had a lot of fallout to deal with. With two Sabrinas existing in the same timeline, it was only a matter of time before the universe began to feel the ripple effects of Sabrina’s time travel.

As the Fright Club and the rest of Sabrina’s loved ones came together to resolve her actions, it came at a price. As they all tried to stop the Void that lay inside Sabrina, the heroine of the series had to pay the ultimate price, and Kiernan Shipka’s character was killed in the The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina The finale of the series. In order to save the world, the show’s main character gave his own life, and unfortunately there was no post-credit magical scene to undo his death.

Despite being one of the most popular shows on the platform, Netflix announced late last year that The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would end with season 4. It’s tragically a tendency for Netflix shows to end after three or four seasons, and even Sabrina couldn’t escape the curse. There were even plans for what The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 5 would have looked like. But despite a devastating series finale and no sequel for the TV show, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 5 is actually happening… sort of.

Right after Netflix announced the cancellation, Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa gave fans heartwarming news. If the series had been renewed for a fifth season, she would have finally seen Sabrina and Riverdale intersect with each other. It’s something fans have always wanted to see ever since. Sabrina was originally developed for The CW. Now this is actually going to happen, but like a comic called “Witch War”. Whether or not it features the CW versions of the Riverdale the characters remain to be determined. So far, Archie Comics has yet to reveal when “Witch War” will be released or how many issues it will include.

Since magic was not an element present on Riverdale, it is possible that it is The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Own take on the characters KJ Apa, Camilla Mendes, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, and Madelaine Petsch play on the CW show. It wouldn’t be the first time a genre series has continued in comic book form, with shows like Small city and Buffy the vampire slayer have done it with great success. So sad as it is to see The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to end its television broadcast, at least a fifth season is coming in a comedic format that includes the highly anticipated Riverdale crossing.

That’s especially true now that Keirnan Shipka is officially set to reprise the role of Sabrina as part of Riverdale season 6, finally giving fans of the two shows that live-action crossover producers have teased for years. Sabrina will appear in Riverdale Season 6, Episode 4, aptly titled “The Witching Hour”. How and why Sabrina is heading to Riverdale in the universe is not yet public knowledge, but it is entirely possible that Sabrina /Riverdale crossover comics might provide some type of explanation. Considering the enthusiasm of many fans since the announcement of Sabrina’s appearance in Riverdale However, it’s hard to imagine that one has to do whatever it takes to find out exactly how this is ultimately accomplished. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may be over, but Sabrina Spellman herself is still going strong.
